Alumni Chapters

Alumni Chapters are formed to advance and establish a mutually beneficial relationship among San Diego State University, alumni and friends, and to provide an avenue for alumni to continue their connections with the university through the SDSU Alumni Association. GradFest

This three-day event serves as a one-stop shop for graduating seniors looking to purchase their cap and gown, alumni membership, announcements and pick up commencement tickets. Volunteers and staff greet graduating seniors and provide information about the benefits of alumni membership.

Homecoming

Each year, the annual weekend event brings together thousands of SDSU alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends. It is a showcase event where alumni return to the university to reminisce about the good 'ol days, visit with friends and make new ones. Volunteers, in conjunction with staff members, work together to plan and promote this fun-filled weekend.

Membership & Marketing

Alumni volunteers and staff meet to discuss membership and marketing ideas for the organization. The committee assists with the planning, implementing and evaluation of membership campaigns and offers advice regarding membership promotion.

Office Projects

Perhaps some of the most important work that takes place inside the walls of the SDSU Alumni Association includes envelope stuffing, organizing membership fulfillment, processing renewal notices and preparing membership cards. The reason? It's all about our dues-paying members!

Volunteers are needed to assure that members are receiving the many benefits of membership including premium items upon renewal, fulfillment and chapter cards, and communication regarding upcoming events, special members-only promotions, and activities. What's in it for you? Free lunch! Become part of the volunteer team that does the most important work!

Student Scholarships

The Alumni Association holds the annual student scholarship program to support student growth and development at SDSU. Since the program's inception, dozens of deserving students have benefited from the program thanks to the help of generous alumni who contribute financially. This program has awarded thousands of dollars to outstanding students.

The Montys

"The Montys" are the SDSU Alumni Association's way of recognizing and honoring distinguished alumni for their outstanding service to the university and the community. Additionally, a distinguished service award is given to an exceptional alumni volunteer and an outstanding university employee. The committee plans and organizes this standout event with the help of numerous volunteers and staff members. Sub-committees include silent auction and sponsorships.
