A Lifetime of Love, Thanks to SDSU
Published on February 4, 2026
While it wasn’t exactly love at first sight for Tracy (‘04) and Jordan (‘09) Spahr, after meeting through Greek life early on in their college careers, the pair became instant friends, hanging out whenever they had the chance.
Being friends first before making anything official is something they feel has been fundamental to their foundation as a couple. After having their first real date at an Italian restaurant in Point Loma, a place that they still go to for their anniversaries, the Spahrs are still just as much in love 20-plus years later.
Grateful that SDSU brought them each other and allowed them to grow roots in a place they now call home, it felt only right to take their engagement photos right on campus in places that were special to them: Hepner Hall and Viejas Arena. With fellow Aztecs in their wedding party, the couple got married in San Diego and now share a daughter, who they hope one day will be an Aztec herself.
Tracy, who graduated with a degree in communication, currently serves as the Director of Public Relations at SeaWorld San Diego, and Jordan, who got his degree in Sociology, currently works in Healthcare.
With a house painted SDSU colors, the family remains huge Aztec supporters, attending games at Viejas, alumni events, and being involved whenever they can.
