Alumni Spotlight, Danny Sweis (‘15)

With over a decade of Marketing experience, SDSU alumnus Danny (‘15) acts as a mentor for current students through the Aztec Network.

Meet San Diego State University alumnus Danny Sweis (‘15). After moving to the U.S, Danny attended SDSU to pursue his bachelor's degree. While there, he studied business marketing, which gave him the necessary foundation to eventually found DJS Marketing Services. With over a decade of Marketing experience, Danny acts as a mentor for current SDSU students through the Aztec Network.

Q: What is your current title and company name?

CEO/Founder of DJS Marketing Services

Q: Describe your journey to SDSU.

After graduating from high school in Abu Dhabi, I moved to San Diego to pursue a bachelor's degree.

Q: How have you used your SDSU education to achieve success in your career?

SDSU gave me the fundamental knowledge of business marketing and how to apply it.

Q: How do you stay connected to SDSU? (ex. sports events, mentorship, volunteering, etc.)

Sporting events and mentorships.

Q: What is your favorite memory from SDSU?

Skateboarding to class and pulling all-nighters with my classmates in the 24/7 library. Great times.

Q: What advice do you have for current SDSU students or recent alumni?

Experience is the name of the game. Don't be afraid to ask questions, seek the RIGHT guidance.

Q: Any other additional information we should include in your spotlight?

My Dad graduated from SDSU, as did my uncle, brother, and sister. Much love!
